My Jewel

"An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious that jewels."
Proverbs 31:1
My lovely wife is in Washington D.C. She has gone to Hattiesburg a few weekends without me, but this is the farthest and longest that we have been apart since being married. I am oh so blessed by her. She has been the chisel in my life, constantly scraping away areas of pride or malice, envy or anxiety. She has been my helper, ministering both with and to me. She is my jewel, the most precious thing that I have.
Come home soon, sweetheart.

The First Post

Well, I was looking around that time consuming (or sucking) portal known as Facebook and the next thing I know, I'm thoroughly convinced that making a blog for Laura and I is a great idea. I'm not so sure that this is something that I should add to my current responsibilities, but this is more of a way of keeping in touch and a way of releasing either pent up knowledge or frustration. All of the blogs that I follow right now typically have something really profound to say or link to great news stories or theological arguments. I don't think this blog will be like that. My hope for it is that it becomes a way in which we can let our friends and families have a little more clear look into our life. Hopefully along the way we will be able to share some great things that the Lord is doing in our lives and maybe that will be an encouragement too. Here's to hoping.
